Introduction 

Shandong First Medical University was founded in 1891. The 200 hectare campus of Shandong First Medical University includes a 780,000 square meter construction area.

The Shandong First Medical University has two campuses, one in Tai'an City (A historically significant city i.e Mount Tai) and the other is in Jinan City, the provincial capital. 

I Bano, a student from Shandong First Medical University, had the good fortune to enroll there. I entered college in the year 2022 with MBBS as my major. Personally, I've had a wonderful experience, the MBBS program they offer is in English language and lasts a total of six years. (One year of Chinese, a four-year course, and a one-year internship). You have the option to skip a year if you have already studied Chinese. 

Environment 

The atmosphere at our university is excellent. It's true what they say: the environment is made up of the people around you. Our teachers are incredibly considerate, supportive, and helpful. They will be the first to assist you if you run into any problems or face any setbacks. One of the things that makes me love being there is this.

Personal encounter

My time at SDFMU has been wonderful. The instructors are incredibly kind and welcoming. The more experienced students are also very encouraging and helpful. The surroundings are amazing, and I've always felt very safe there mostly because boys and girls have separate dormitory buildings, since I come from a Muslim Pakistani background, have also felt very at home living in dorms. At 9:30 p.m., our teachers check to see if everyone is in their rooms, and the dormitory gate closes at 10:00 p.m. No one is allowed to leave after that until the next morning. Our university treats us in a similar manner to how our parents do. It has a very cozy, homely atmosphere. 

When I first went to stay in university, my parents were concerned, just like any other parent would be but now that I've informed them and they've spoken to professors from my university, they feel better knowing I'm safe. 

Why choose SDFMU

One of my best decisions in life was choosing SDFMU. I had no idea how things would pan out before I came here, but by the grace of God, I'm so happy to be a part of this university.

WHO, MOE, ECFMG, WFME, and PMC have all approved SDFMU.

Majors SDFMU offers to you are BDS (dentistry), pharmacy, clinical medicine (MBBS) and nursing. Scholarships are available for all majors except for MBBS (scholarship depends on your performance).
